On Saturday, at 4 p.m., there will be a benefit program at Peaks Baptist Church for Tomeka Jackson-Allen. Allen is 43 years old and has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. She is a graduate of Prince Edward County High School and Longwood University. She is married and has a two-year-old son. She is the daughter of Thomas and Delois Jackson, of Prospect.

Allen is in need of help spiritually and financially. The emcee will be Deacon Perry Carrington. Friends providing music are The Royal Supremes and Denise and The Traveling Aires.
