Mr. and Mrs. William B. Austin, Jr. of Appomattox, Virginia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Adrian Leigh Austin, to Adam Matthew Scruggs.

Adrian is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Wayne Jones of Red House, Virginia, and the late Thomas Harold Chambers, Jr. and Ms. Helen Dooley of Lynchburg, Virginia, and the late William B. Austin, Sr.  She is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and is currently employed by Louisa County High School as an agricultural educator.

Adam is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Haden E. Scruggs, Jr. of Scottsville, Virginia and the grandson of Mr. Joe Mawyer of Charlottesville, Virginia and Mrs. Georgia S. Kirby of Charlottesville, Virginia.  He is a graduate of Albemarle High School and is currently employed with the Local 28 Ironworkers Union in Richmond.

The wedding will be held on June 11, 2016 at Sherwood in Appomattox, Virginia. Formal invitations will be sent.
