Lion Max Sempowski, right, recently presented President of the Barksdale Cancer Foundation Wendy Lankford a check for $500. The Charlotte County Lions Club is active in supporting the citizens of the county, not only in vision and hearing areas, but also in helping organizations that work with youth, feeding residents and groups, like the Barksdale Foundation, that help families with cancer-related expenses.
