There will be a bluegrass benefit for Stephanie Clay and Darlene Cisco, who are each battling breast cancer, on Saturday, Aug. 20 at Red Oak Excavating, located on Hwy. 15 in Red Oak. The three bands, Homegrown Bluegrass, Molly Rose Band and Charlie Oakley and Blazing Ross, are all known statewide and have a huge following. They will perform at the event. The day’s events will include a poker run (10 a.m.-noon), raffle tables, card raffle for a Remington 22 rifle, T-shirts for sale and BBQ and Italian chicken plates will be served from 1-4 p.m. Price of admission to hear the music will be a love offering. Seating is limited, so bring a chair.
