Mr. Roosevelt Harvey, formerly of Phenix, died Saturday, August 6, 2016, in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Mr. Elijah Harvey and the late Mrs. Sallie St. John Harvey.

He is survived by four children, Ted Haskins (Tina) of Appomattox, Va., Sherlene Greene (William, Jr.) and Roosevelt Harvey, Jr. (Latisha) of Lynchburg, Va.; one stepdaughter, Lisa Dillard (Melvin) of Amherst, Va.; eight grandchildren, Alisha, Britney, Shonda, Kimberly, Daryl Jr., Keandra (Billy), Angela, Gerald Jr.; 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Elijah Harvey Jr. (Bernice) of Phenix, Va., and Cecil Harvey (Mamie) of Appomattox, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Jackson of Appomattox, Va., Mrs. Betty Jean Snead of Randolph, VA, and Mrs. Eva Mae Snead of Richmond, VA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn H. Harvey of Appomattox, Va.; one uncle, Mr. Joe St. John of Keysville, Va., and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Antonio L. Harvey and three siblings.
