The Charlotte County Community Choir will begin practices for the 2016 Christmas Cantata, entitled “Rejoice,” on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. The event will be at Drakes Branch Baptist Church, located at 4525 Main Street in Drakes Branch. The choir has been presenting Christmas Cantatas in the area for 28 years. It is composed of dedicated Christian singers from various churches around the county. Last year, the choir had 45 members representing 14 churches.
