The four seniors on the Randolph-Henry High School varsity golf team were recognized on Sept. 20 for having put together outstanding high school careers on the links. They were joined at the event by family members, team members, coaches and fans. Seniors Mitch Dunn, Matthew Myers, George Thomas Sandridge and Gunnar Lacks were part of four James River District championships and 97 career wins. “Most of all, they are great student-athletes and outstanding young men,” Statesmen Head Coach Kelly Powell said. “We now look forward to postseason play.” Above, with the 2016 district championship trophy, from left, Powell, Lacks, Sandridge, Dunn, Myers, Coach Eddie Pyle and Coach Larry Dunn.
