The Randolph-Henry High School varsity football team fell to 0-6 this season with its 28-7 road loss to Amelia County High School on Monday.
“We can’t overcome the small mistakes, so it seems like we have to play a perfect game to get anything going,” Statesmen Head Coach Mark McPherson said.
Trailing 21-0 after three quarters, Randolph-Henry got its lone score in the fourth on a half-yard sneak by Chris Powell.
Powell had 17 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown.
The Statesmen passing game struggled mightily, as Powell went 0-for-6 passing with two interceptions.
Collin Vaughn led Randolph-Henry, defensively, with five solo tackles, two for a loss, and four assists.
Quadre Pulliam went down with an ankle injury early on Friday.
