FEBRUARY 7

BEEKEEPING COURSE, 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Prince Edward Extension Office. This course is specifically designed for those who intend to start honeybee colonies.  Material covered will include the history of honeybees, bee life cycle, seasonal management, equipment and supplies needed, integrated and sustainable management techniques, as well as hands on session for establishing new colonies. Tuition of $100 per family unit includes three textbooks, course notebook and CD with presentation summaries, additional resources and one year’s membership in a beekeeping club. SPAGHETTI DINNER, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Randolph District Volunteer Fire Department. The menu will include spaghetti and sauce, garlic bread, salad, desserts, coffee and tea. The cost of the dinner is a donation at the door. Raffles prizes will be given away and tickets are one for $5 or three for $10. The fire department is located at 2145 Cumberland Road.
