MARCH 22

LENTEN LUNCHEON, noon at Keysville UMC, located on Church Street. The speaker will be the Rev. Robert Perrin of Grace Community Church in Charlotte Court House. Bring a sandwich, drinks and dessert will be provided. All are welcome.

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at Hebron UMC in Saxe. Guest Speaker will be the Rev. Jack Stewart. Special music will be provided each night. Everyone is welcome.

SPRING YOUTH REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at St. Andrews Baptist Church. Prayer and praise service will kick off the program followed by worship service at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Irma Watson from Midway Baptist Church in Cumberland. The church is located on Taro Road in Cumberland.

MARCH 26

SENIOR CHOIR FESTIVAL, 3 p.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The St. Michael Baptist Church’s Senior Choir will present its annual choir festival. Several choirs will be participating. Everyone is welcome.

PASTOR’S AIDE PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Brookneal. Guest speaker will be Associate Minister Annie Clay and The Voices of Christ of Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

MARCH 28

LEGAL AID FORUM, 3:30-5 p.m. at the Charlotte Adult Learning Center in Charlotte Court House. Every five years, the Virginia Legal Aid Society (VLAS) asks the communities it serves about legal needs that might need more attention. VLAS uses the feedback from residents to guide its case focus and community outreach. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free. For more information, email development@vlas.org.

STEW, 10:30 a.m. at Butch Shook’s, sponsored by the Charlotte County APVA. Cost is $7 a quart. Contact Kaye at (434) 454-6238 to pre-order stew.

APRIL 6

WEATHER SPOTTER TRAINING, 6:30 p.m. at the Red House Volunteer Fire Department. This free two-hour presentation is open to the public and geared toward anyone interested in weather and/or anyone seeking to become an official storm spotter. APRIL 8

EASTER EGG HUNT, 2 p.m. at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. This event is free to the public. The Easter Bunny will make a visit and prizes to be awarded.

APRIL 15

BARKSDALE SCHOLARSHIP, The Barksdale Cancer Foundation is sponsoring a one-time scholarship for high school graduates pursuing a medical career. Scholarship information and guidelines may be picked up at the school guidance office or downloaded from www.charlotteva.com. Information must be received by April 15. RETIRED TEACHERS SCHOLARSHIP, the Charlotte County Retired Teachers will offer a scholarship to high school seniors or college students who will be future teachers. Applications can be picked up at the Randolph-Henry High School guidance office or by contacting Kaye at (434) 454-6238. Applications are due by April 15.

KIDZ CONSIGNMENT SALE, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Southside Virginia Community College in Keysville. Team Cassidy will be sponsoring the kid’s consignment sale. Those interested in consigning should contact Kristen at kduffer@gmail.com. All profits from the sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
