R-H varsity baseball improves to 4-0

Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity baseball team stayed unbeaten this season after going 2-0 last week.
In a 6-1 Statesmen victory over host Park View High School of South Hill on Friday, Raleigh Duffer pitched a complete game, throwing 11 strikeouts and giving up only two hits, while Devin Mariannino led the Statesmen on offense with two hits.
In a 5-0 R-H road win against Amelia County High School on Thursday, Josh Jones and Carter Strickland combined to throw a no-hitter. Strickland threw 11 strikeouts.
On offense, Jones, Strickland and Chase Barksdale had two hits apiece.
R-H (4-0) hosts Goochland High School on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
