Deacon Berman Brown, Sr.

God needed another angel in Heaven, so He graciously called home Deacon Berman Brown, Sr. of Saxe, Virginia on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2017 at Sentara MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville, Virginia. He was born on March 29,1929 in Charlotte County to the late Oscar and Lena Brown. Deacon Brown was a self-employed logger for many years.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Elnora Smith Brown of the home; two sons, Berman Jr. (Bobie), and Dexter (Stacey); three daughters, Patricia and Joyce Brown and Joyce B. Lambert (Larry); numerous grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. John H. Brown and Herman Brown (Lorraine); two sisters, Ruby C. Thompson and Betty Brown; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Randolph, Virginia with interment in the Brown Memorial Garden Cemetery in Saxe, Virginia.
