Clifton M. Newcomb

Clifton M. Newcomb, 91, of Randolph, passed away Jan. 16, 2018.

He was the son of the late Eddie Mosby Newcomb and Lettie Skelton Newcomb, and the widower of Frances Adams Newcomb. Clifton was a retired employee of Burlington Industries. He is survived by his daughter, Gayle Inge and husband, Willard, of Saxe, foster daughter Lucille Wilmoth of Clover, brother Harvey Newcomb and wife, Fannie, of Charlotte Court House, sisters

Thelma Bailey of Chase City, Lillian Card of Chase City, Audrey Bailey of Wylliesburg, granddaughter, Cindy Moore of Saxe, foster granddaughter, Leila Ryder of Cumberland, great-grandchildren, Tina Moore and husband, Jacob, of Saxe, Matthew Glasscock of Saxe, foster great-grandchildren, Lauren Ingle and husband, Bradley, Elizabeth Hughes, and Raif Ryder, great-great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Annabelle Moore.

Services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at New Hope United Methodist Church in Randolph. Interment followed in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Virginia, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
