A 1999 Jeep Cherokee was involved in a weather-related accident Monday. Icy road conditions from Monday’s snowfall were a contributing factor.
According to information from Virginia State Police, Angeline G. Ferraro of Brookneal was operating the Jeep Cherokee when she hit an icy patch, lost control, ran off the left side of the road and overturned, striking a mailbox and a fence.
State Police said the accident occurred on George Washington Highway about a half-mile west of Mt. Harmony Road.
No charges have been filed. Virginia State Trooper J.D. Gregory was the investigating officer.
