Mrs. Lettie Lizzie Smith, age 99 of Drakes Branch, died on April 18, 2018 in Keysville. She was the daughter of the late Elder James E. and Mrs. Bessie Hodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Smith and one son, Joseph D. Jenkins.

She is survived by her son, James Melvin Beasley of Roanoke, VA; three nieces, Arnell B. Stewart (Chesterfield) of Washington, DC, Joyce Hodge of Greensboro, NC, and Denise A. Young (George) of Martinsburg, WV; four great nieces; four great nephews; her newest and best friend, ten year old Toni Jones; and countless other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church in Saxe with interment at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Drakes Branch.
