USED BOOK SALE, 9 a.m.-noon behind the main library in Charlotte Court House. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
PAMPLIN DEPOT BARN DANCE, 6-8 p.m. at the Pamplin Train Depot Freight Room. The dance is free. Door prizes and a full course affordable meal will be available. The dance is sponsored by Farm Use Old Time String Band ant the High Bridge Trail State Park.
YOUNG LIFE PANCAKE FUNDRAISER, 8 a.m.-11 a.m. at Philbecks, 6300 George Washington Hwy., Keysville. All proceeds go toward sending Randolph-Henry High School students to Young Life Camp for their first time.
TUTOR TRAINING, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Crewe Public Library, 400 Tyler St. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. A sub sandwich and sides will be available for lunch break. This event is sponsored by the Charlotte Adult Learning Center. For more information, call (434) 542-5782.
CHOIR, 3 p.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church in Keysville. Many choirs and groups will be appearing on the program and everyone is invited.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY CELEBRATION, 3 p.m. at New Witt Baptist Church. Special guests will be the Rev. Stevie Trent and the Second Union Baptist Church in Columbia. The public is invited.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 8:45 a.m.- noon at Keysville United Methodist Church. The theme will be “Rolling River Rampage” for ages 4 years-sixth grade. Register with a parent or guardian June 4 between 8:30-9 a.m.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 6-8 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. The theme for the week will be “Road to Discipleship” and snacks will be served.
SPECIAL COMMUNITY EVENT, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Bacon District Firehouse. A special presentation with representatives from Tri-County Community Action will be held 7-8 p.m. This event is hosted by Wylliesburg/Red Oak Representative Kay Pierantoni.

HEART OF VIRGINIA BEEKEEPERS MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office in Farmville. The topic will be “Where we are with our bees and the bee calendar.” Anyone who has bees or is interested in bees is welcome. For more information, call Mary Jane Morgan at (434) 315-1433.

RANGER CHALLENGE, 1-3 p.m. at Twin Lakes State Park. This event is open to youth 14 years old and younger with a parent or other adult partner. Teams will compete in the backyard bass casting game, a canoeing challenge, a corn hole challenge and an obstacle course. Awards ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. The same parent may participate in more than one team with each of their children. Register at “the sport” on the day of the event. Rain date is June 17.

MISSIONARY DAY, 3 p.m. at Aspen Hill Baptist Church. Starz of Faith from Lynchburg will render the music. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
