The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in at Newcomb’s Auto Repair, located at 4085 Drakes Main St. in Drakes Branch.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, information was received from a person passing by the business at around 5:07 a.m. last Tuesday that the front glass of Newcomb’s Auto was broken.

“When the deputies arrived the owner was called,” said the release from the Sheriff’s Office. “The front window had been broken out with a large rock. The only thing taken was the cash register, which had a small amount of change in it.”

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information regarding the break-in to contact their Office at (434) 542-5141 and ask to speak to an investigator.

“There will be a reward for the arrest and conviction in this incident.” said the Sheriff’s Office.
