Randolph-Henry High School’s junior varsity girls volleyball team finished the 2018 season strong by winning two of its last three matches.
The Lady Statesmen concluded the year with an overall record of 4-12.
Near the end of the season, Head Coach Julianna Ferrell shared some thoughts on her players.
“They have learned a lot this year, building upon foundation skills as well as coming together as a team,” she said.
The squad featured eight freshmen and four sophomores this season.
Ferrell noted sophomore outside hitter Morgan Lawson “is active in leading the girls with starting and moving into different skills and being a team player.”
Though Randolph-Henry finished the season with a 2-0 loss to visiting Nottoway on Monday, the Lady Statesmen topped host Cumberland 2-0 on Thursday and visiting Buckingham 2-1 on Oct. 23.
