WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Morrison Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. All women are invited.

NOVEMBER 17

TASTING EVENT, 2-5 p.m.at New Witt Baptist Church. The event will feature all homemade items. A donation will be collected at the door.

USDA FOOD BANK, 10-11:45 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Red House. This food bank is for those in the Phenix and surrounding Red House Community who are residents of Charlotte County. USDA food can only be received at one site in Virginia. Bring a large cardboard box. For questions, contact Bernice Pannell at (434) 248-6465 after 5 p.m. and before 8 p.m.

NOVEMBER 18

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church in Randolph. The church will celebrate 133 years. Isiah Hurt will be the guest speaker, along with his choir. Dinner will be served.

SENIOR CITIZENS DINNER, 3 p.m. at the Prince Edward Elks Lodge #269. The guest speaker for the evening will be the Rev. Haney Thomas, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church in Meherrin. Music will be rendered by the New Bethel Community Male Chorus. All seniors are invited. This event is sponsored by the Prince Edward Elks Lodge #269 and Manhattan Temple #184.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen during regular worship hours. The public is invited.

NOVEMBER 20

COMMUNITY PRE-THANKSGIVING SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The Rev. Samuel Trent will be the speaker.

DECEMBER 2

CELEBRATION SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Rough Creek Presbyterian Church. The program is titled “Hanging of the Greens.” Refreshments will follow the program.

FEBRUARY 12

BEEKEEPER’S SCHOOL, 7-9 p.m. at the Prince Edward County Extension Office across from Lowe’s in Farmville. A hands-on session is tentatively planned for a date to be announced since it is weather-dependent. Cost will include all classes and two books. Pre-registration is required.
