The Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) men’s basketball team overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to take a 94-93 lead with 54 seconds to play Saturday afternoon at Maury High School in Norfolk, but Bryant & Stratton MIT scored with 18 seconds left to win 95-94. SVCC sophomore wing Michael Jackson, pictured at left, scored 35 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. The Panthers have a 3-3 record.
