The National Weather Service (NWS) in Blacksburg is reporting snowfall into the evening for Charlotte County, and cautioning people to avoid travel as road conditions worsen.

“Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” the report cited. “The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.”

Charlotte County Public Schools announced that schools will be closed Monday.

The Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) outage map reports approximately 331 outages in Charlotte County. Dominion Energy reports 19 outages in the Keysville area, and 128 outages closer to Brookneal. Crews are awaiting assignment and assessing damages at these areas.
