High School (R-HHS) Art Club and Library Club will sponsor an art exhibition starting in March.
According to a flyer for the event, an opening reception will be held March 23 from 6-8 p.m. at the R-HHS Library, however, the exhibition will run until May 3.
Flyer information said a meet and greet with the artists would be held during the opening night reception, as well as refreshments provided and artwork will be available for sale.
“The 2018 Randolph-Henry High School Art Club has 27 active members and two sponsors,” said Art Club Sponsor Alyson Oseguera. “It is a community service based club. Most recently, you may have seen members of the art club painting faces at the Court House Holiday Bazaar …”
During that time, a Charlotte County Public Schools release said the art club created holiday designs for the Court House Holiday Bazaar and practiced painting them to prepare for the event during interactive enrichment days.
Additionally, “… in January 2019, the club will begin the creation of a mural for the Randolph-Henry library.”
She said this year, the members wanted to give R-HHS artists the opportunity to display their artwork.
The R-HHS Library Club will also co-host the event. The Library Club is sponsored by Kari Joyner.
Jane Hayes is also a sponsor of the R-HHS Art Club.
The deadline to submit work is Jan. 31 and work must be submitted to R-HHS Art Club Sponsor Alyson Oseguera in Room 412.
Participants must be a student at Randolph-Henry and the artwork must have been completed in 2018.
Only one entry is allowed per student, the artwork must have a title and the content must be school appropriate.
