No explosive devices were found at Phenix Elementary School after it was investigated by law enforcement Monday morning, Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS) officials cited in an alert Monday.

“Phenix Elementary School has been thoroughly swept by law enforcement and no indications were found of an explosive device,” the alert cited. “Therefore, Phenix students have received lunch at CMS and are being transported back to Phenix Elementary School. Appreciation is expressed to our local law enforcement for their continued assistance in helping to assure safe schools for our students.”

A written bomb threat was reported at Phenix Elementary School Monday morning, prompting school officials to temporarily relocate students to Central Middle School.
