Public hearing set

The Charlotte County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Thursday for the Virginia §15.2–2232 (2232) review of Charlotte County’s Comprehensive Plan. The review is to see if the plan “substantially agrees” with the conditional use permit for the Moody Creek Solar project.
The Planning Commission worked for several months last year to amend the county’s solar ordinances in anticipation of compliance issues between the comprehensive plan and the conditional use permit. The Planning Commission extended the deadline for the public hearing due to the intensive nature of the 2232 review process.
The hearing will be held on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. at the Charlotte County Administration Office, 250 LeGrande Avenue, Suite A, Charlotte Court House.
Persons affected may appear and present their views at this public hearing. Copies of the application can be viewed at the County Administrator Office at the above address or by calling (434) 542-5117.
Immediately following the public hearing the commission will hold a special work session to consider any public comments made during the hearing and begin to compile a final recommendation to present to the Board of Supervisors at the regular April session, unless otherwise determined.
