Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity baseball team fell 2-0 to host Park View High School, of South Hill, on Thursday, but it opened the season two days prior with a 7-0 home win over Bluestone High School.
Statesmen Head Coach Josh Barmoy said that in the win, junior pitcher Colby Jordan allowed just two hits and no runs over seven innings, striking out 12 batters.
Offensively, Randolph-Henry generated eight hits for the game.
“I think it was a good team win for us tonight,” Barmoy said. “Everyone on the team did their part to produce this victory. I would like us to be more aggressive on the offensive side, but I am excited with the potential this young team possesses.”
