A single-vehicle accident occurred Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of Patrick Henry Highway that threw the driver out of the vehicle. Meherrin Volunteer Fire & Rescue Chief Trey Pyle said that “around 3 p.m., Meherrin Fire & Rescue was dispatched for a single-vehicle accident with reported ejection of the driver. On arrival crews confirmed the bystander’s reports of the driver being ejected and requested Life-Evac 1. The patient was treated and transported to the Meherrin Heli-Pad where patient care was transferred to Life-Evac 1.” Virginia State Police had not shared the name of the driver, as of press time. Also responding to the scene was Keysville Volunteer Fire Department.
