Alex Odell Watson

Brother Alex Odell Watson 47, of Saxe, VA departed this life on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.

Brother Watson was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 25, 1972 to Jerry Robinson and the late Pastor Gladys Odell Watson. He was a 1993 graduate of Randolph Henry High School. After graduation he gained employment at
Charter Oaks in Charlotte Court House, VA, working there for 25 years. Brother Watson was a faithful member of Holy Name Church of Jesus in Chase City, where he served as an usher, guitar player, food bank and clothing closet
volunteer. He enjoyed attending Camp Unity, eating and cooking, and would always say, “Awe, that’s nice.”

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Denise “Chelle” Robinson. Cherishing his memories are his devoted aunt and caregiver, Maybell Holcomb (William) of Chase City, VA; his father, Jerry Robinson of Fort Mitchell, VA; two sisters, Denise Hardy (Karvin) and Latisha Gallimore; two brothers, Eric Gallimore and Eljay Robinson; five aunts, four uncles, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Brother Alex Odell Watson were conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Holy Name Church of Jesus, Chase City, VA with Pastor William Holcomb officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, VA.
