Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity football team was not able to come up with the win in its season opener Friday night, falling 50-23 to visiting Nelson County High School.

Next Friday at 7 p.m., the Statesmen (0-1) visit Chatham High School (1-0). The Cavaliers defeated host Cumberland County High School 47-6 on Friday night.
