“Reading Is Our Super Power” is the theme for reading month at Phenix Elementary School.

Many events have been planned to promote reading during the month of October.

A schoolwide assembly, along with the Scholastic Book Fair, kicked off the month. Every child who attended Family Night registered for a door prize. The following students received prizes: Ethan Hall, pre-K; Dakota Easter, kindergarten; Aiden Eubanks,first grade; Ciara Carrington, second grade; Hunter Harmon, third grade; McKayla Lockett, fourth grade and Alayna Cary, fifth grade.

All proceeds from the fair go to the library program at Phenix to promote reading. Students are encouraged to remember to use their super power this month and read.
