Library Club members created spine label poetry at the last club meeting. Students searched the shelves for interesting titles to incorporate into their poetry, which will be published in the literary arts magazine. Students also checked out books to read related to the Holocaust. At an upcoming Art Club/Library Club joint meeting, students will share one-pager style book reports and will learn about the Nazi Party’s attack on what was deemed degenerate art. This unit of study will culminate in a club field trip to the Virginia Holocaust Museum and Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in May.
