The end of the 2019-20 season came Saturday, Feb. 22, for Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity boys and girls basketball teams in the first round of their respective Region 2A Tournaments.
The No. 11 Lady Statesmen fell 60-38 to host No. 6 Greensville County High School Saturday afternoon.
“We shot 16 for 56 (29%) from the floor and were 1 for 8 (13%) from the line,” Lady Statesmen Head Coach Donald Jack said.
Saturday evening, the No. 8 Randolph-Henry boys team lost 56-46 to visiting No. 9 Nottoway High School.
“I thought we just got outplayed,” Statesmen Head Coach Joshua Haskins said. “They had more energy and tenacity than we did from the jump.”
The Statesmen finished 9-13, and the Lady Statesmen were 3-18.
