The latest Randolph-Henry High School Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony has once again been postponed, but nominations are currently being accepted for the 2021 Hall of Fame (HOF) class.
The HOF committee has voted to postpone the scheduled induction ceremony on Jan. 30, a press release stated. This postponement is in light of Gov. Ralph Northam’s most recent update on restricted gatherings through the month of January due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases.
“We will plan to recognize both the 2020 HOF class and the 2021 HOF class collectively at a date in the future when things are a bit more ‘normal,’” Randolph-Henry Athletics Director and Assistant Principal Christopher Holt said. “A detailed schedule of events will be shared at the appropriate time.”
Meanwhile, the HOF committee has also announced it is accepting nominations for the 2021 HOF class until Jan. 31.
Nomination forms can be picked up in the main office at Randolph-Henry, by visiting randolphhenryhs.rschoolteams.com or by contacting Holt at holtc@ccps.k12.va.us.
