Despite storm, outage numbers go down

Despite dealing with a second ice storm in a week, the number of customers without power in Charlotte County declined slightly from Thursday to Friday.
Currently, 3,178 residents are without power, down by almost 200 from Thursday.
Southside Electric Cooperative has the most customers without power at 3,132. Dominion Energy only has 46 customers waiting to have power restored.
A Thursday Facebook post from SEC said 120 crewman from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative were on the way to help restore power. They were expected to arrive in the area today. SEC said they had 366 personnel in the field working to restore power.
Many of those without power in the county have been out for a week now.
Overall SEC has 22,425 customers without power in its service area.
