Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

In response to the recent ice storms and prolonged power outages Charlotte County, in partnership with local volunteer fire departments, non-profit agencies and the faith community are coordinating assistance to residents. A press release from the county administration details assistance being provided.

The county and volunteer fire departments have made arrangements to provide access to warming centers and for citizens to obtain water and charge electronic devices. The following volunteer fire department locations will be open as noted for public use of outdoor water spigots and/or indoor charging stations of electronics. Masks and social distancing are mandatory to enter a fire department.

Overnight sheltering will be available at two of the volunteer fire departments Saturday night to citizens who do not have electricity. Please see information below including the phone number to call for registration.
