Charles Edward and Lillian Gaines of Charlotte Court House will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 24. For many years Lillian worked for Westpoint Stevens in Drakes Branch. Charles has been a truck driver for more than 45 years and still drives to this day. They are both members of Mossingford Baptist Church in Saxe. They enjoy traveling to Northern Virginia to visit their daughters, Veronica Gaines-Turner and Monica Gaines Tingle along with their four granddaughters — Victoria, Valerie, Ashley and Lia. Charles and Lillian enjoy occasional trips to casinos, restaurants (mainly Red Lobster) and enjoying a good party with music because they love to dance. When weather permits, Charles and Lillian enjoy gardening around their home. They are beyond blessed with good health, wonderful friends and family and most of all grateful to the good Lord for these 50 years together.
