An Amish family of 12 lost their home to a fire Thursday, April 22.
The structure fire occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Lewis Ford Road in Campbell County.
According to Red House Volunteer Fire Department Chief Chad Reeves, the cause of the fire has not been determined.
No inquiries were reported, and as of Tuesday morning, April 27, the Amish community had already begun to rebuild the home.
“All exterior walls are up, and the roof is starting,” Reeves said. “The Amish community is an amazing group, no doubt,”
Red House Volunteer Fire Department, along with Brookneal and Gladys Volunteer Fire departments, responded to the fire.
