Mary Kathryn Colley Clowdis, 94 of Phenix passed away Nov. 4, at Liberty Ridge Pearls of Life. She was the wife of the late Hugh Baylor Clowdis.
Mrs. Clowdis was born in Charlotte County, Oct. 20, 1927, daughter of the late Kenneth Earl Colley Sr. and Arlene Cheatham Colley. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Burlington Industries.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Blair Clowdis (Barbara) of Randleman, North Carolina; a daughter, Karen Clowdis Dillard of Phenix; two grandchildren, Joshua Mark Clowdis (Portia) of Greensboro, North Carolina and Brian Phillip Ragland (Brandy) of Phenix; two great-grandchildren, Amanda Clowdis of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Angel Ragland; three step grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter and Haley Lane.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Blair Clowdis and two brothers, Edward Colley and Kenneth Earl Colley Jr.
A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 8, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Mike Teixeira.
The family received friends from 4 until 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at Henderson Funeral Home and at the home of her daughter other times.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel UMC Cemetery fund.
