COMMUNITY DAY — Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club (BSMC) will be holding a community day on Sunday, April 24, at 3 p.m. The event is being held at the Central High Museum located at 515 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE — Providence Baptist Church located at 1055 Lawyers Road in Red House will have a Maundy Thursday Service on Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m.
APRIL 17
EASTER SERVICES — Providence Baptist Church located at 1055 Lawyers Road in Red House will have Easter Services on Sunday, April 17, to include a 6:30 a.m. Sunrise Service followed by breakfast, at 9 a.m. Sunday School and a 10 a.m. Worship Service. Regular times of 10 a.m. for Sunday School and 11 a.m. for Worship will resume on April 24.

POET TREE DAY — The Charlotte Learning Center is hosting a Poet Tree Day event on Saturday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will be held at Charlotte Learning Center located at 395 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. There is a Poet Tree competition associated with this event, for more details visit Charlotte Learning Center on Facebook or email CAdult.Learning@gmail.com.

USED BOOK SALE — There will be a used book sale from 9 a.m. to noon behind the Main Library located at 112 LeGrande Ave. in Charlotte Court House. All proceeds benefit the four libraries of Charlotte County.
MAY 5
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER EVENT — There will be a National Day of Prayer event at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Halifax County High School stadium. Guest speaker will be Jim “The Rookie” Morris. The Cinderella story of Jim Morris serves as testimony to the power of dreams and their ability to inspire and transform human life. Admission is free and refreshments will be available. In the event of rain the event will be moved into the auditorium.

FALCONFEST FURNITURE AUCTION — The FalconFest Furniture Auction will be Saturday, May 14 at Fuqua School’s Gilmer Gym in Farmville. Preview will start at 9 a.m. The live auction begins at 10 a.m. The auctioneer is Jimmy Carwile, Carwile Auctions. All auction items donated by Green Front Furniture. This event is free and open to the public.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTISIT CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch will hold worship services the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 11 a.m. Mask are required. Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.
AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.
ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will hold worship service the first and third Sundays at 11 a.m. Sunday school will be the first, second, third and fourth Sundays at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.
BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church will hold services the second and fourth Sundays at 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.
HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe will hold in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.
PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
