The Virginia State Police (VSP) is investigating driver fatigue as a contributing factor in the crash resulting in a Roanoke man’s death.
According to VSP, Willis M. Muska, 76, of Roanoke, was driving a 2019 Subaru Outback when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and a tree at 7:08 a.m., July 24, according to a VSP news release.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on Drakes Main Street, one mile south of Westpoint Stevens Road.
Muska was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, VSP said in the release. He was wearing a seatbelt.
