A perfect record is hard to come by and even harder to keep intact. Yet that’s just what the Randolph-Henry Statesmen did over the past month, going 20-0 in district play to claim the 2022 Golf 2A regional championship. The team’s overall record was just as impressive, as they went 26-1 on the season. Captains Lindsey Towery and Austin Queensberry led the way in regional play, scoring an 80 and 84 respectively. Towery, right, also received All-Region Honors. Danner Allen added 88 and Bryson Francisco also scored an 87 for Randolph-Henry. Up next is a road trip for the Statesmen, as the team travels to Laurel Fork to play in the 2A State Championship on Oct. 10. This marks the second time in as many years where Randolph-Henry will compete for a state title.
