A Town Council member, fire department treasurer, Chairman of the Republican Party and now Noah Davis is a candidate for the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors.
Davis announced last week that he plans to seek the Drakes Branch District Board of Supervisors seat in November.
“I am a lifelong resident of Drakes Branch and have always strived to serve the community in the best possible way I can,” said Davis. “Now, I believe I can continue helping the community best by serving on the Board of Supervisors.”
Davis said he believes the most important thing the board of supervisors can do is make the county more attractive for young people to stay and raise families where they grew up rather than seek employment elsewhere. “That can be done by supporting our local businesses, attracting more businesses, supporting emergency services and our school system, and cutting taxes,” he added. “There’s no other place in the world I’d rather live than Charlotte County. I am married with two sons (and expecting our third child), and it is my goal for them to be able to live here, earn a living, and have a family, just as I have done.”
Davis plans to begin meeting citizens in the district and hearing their concerns by holding community meetings in the near future.
“I will always put the people of Charlotte County first by spending taxpayer money responsibly, fighting to lower property taxes, and making sure Charlotte County will be a great place to live for future generations.”
The Drakes Branch Board of Supervisors seat has long been held by Garland Hamlett Jr. who announced last week that he would not seek reelection.
