Several Fire and Rescue volunteers recently took part in a joint training program. The Red House Volunteer Fire Department held a car fire and extrication training class where participants learned how to extinguish car fires and practiced techniques on removing patients from vehicles involved in crashes. Members from Phenix, Drakes Branch, Gladys and Brookneal volunteer fire departments attended the training.
