YOUTH SOCCER REGISTRATION – Anyone who wants to play in the Charlotte County Youth Soccer League this fall has until August 18 to register. Games will be played from Aug. 26 through October 29. If your child’s birth year is 2018-2019, then the cost is $40. If your child was born anytime from 2005 to 2017, the cost is $60. Practices begin Aug. 1 on the Keysville Fields. HOMECOMING – St. Andrews Baptist Church, located at 2100 Taro Road in Cullen, will celebrate homecoming and Family & Friends Day during the 11 a.m. worship service. Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney will preach.
REVIVAL – St. Andrews Baptist Church, located at 2100 Taro Road in Cullen, will hold revival services from Monday, Aug. 21 to Thursday, Aug. 24. Services start at 7 p.m. nightly, with Rev. Walter Fells, pastor of Mercy Seat Baptist Church as the guest preacher.

HOMECOMING – Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 1303 Mt. Zion Road, will hold homecoming on Aug. 27, beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Lewis M. Watson will deliver the morning message, with the Mt. Zion Combined Choir providing music. Lunch will be served following the morning worship. Masks are optional.
HOMECOMING – Triumph Baptist Church will hold homecoming and their 183rd anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 27. The prayer and praise service begins at 10:30 a.m., with worship starting at 11 a.m. Rev. James W. Morris, the church’s former pastor, will be the guest preacher. A fellowship luncheon will be served after the service. The church is located on Darlington Heights Road.

WALK FOR LIFE – The Pregnancy Support Center of Southside Virginia will host a Walk for Life fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m. It’ll start at Osborne Park, located at 426 Osborne Street in Keysville.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part.
ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.
SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome.
AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.
PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
