Four-year-olds and kindergarten students from Phenix Elementary School visited the library recently for the first time. They were welcomed and introduced to the library by the Book Fairy. The Book Fairy explained that the “Land of Books” was a special and magical place. Books can make them laugh, teach them things, and take them to so many different places. This year will be a “book adventure” for all of them.
Library staff mentioned to The Gazette that early exposure to books is so important to a child’s success at school. They encourage residents with children to take time to read every day to them.
