Charlotte County resident Rick Brown announced last week his intention to seek a position on the school board representing the County Seat District.
“I believe that our school system is the greatest asset to this county,” Brown said. Our parents, teachers and students need leaders directly invested in how our school system is operating to serve them better.”
Brown said if elected, he would work to support the parents, teachers and students to be sure they are getting the environment and education they deserve.
“I have four children who will be attending Charlotte County Public Schools for many years to come, so I understand the needs of our students and the expectations of our parents. I appreciate the hard work the teachers and staff put in to support our schools.” Brown said.
Brown is a lifelong resident of Charlotte County and a graduate of Randolph Henry High School. Brown received his Bachelor’s Degree from Lynchburg College and a Master’s from Auburn University. He is married to his wife Melody, and they have four young children, two of whom are enrolled in Charlotte County Public Schools.
