No injuries were reported following a house fire in Drakes Branch on Dec. 27. According to Drakes Branch Fire Chief Kenny Tharpe, crews were dispatched to a structure fire around 8 p.m. on white Street in Drakes Branch. When crews arrived on the scene, fire units found heavy fire conditions in the kitchen and dining room area. In addition to Drakes Branch Fire and Rescue, Charlotte Court House and Keysville Fire Department also responded.
