WILD GAME DINNER — Bethel Baptist Church will host a wild game dinner Saturday, Feb. 3, with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The meal will be held at the Phenix Volunteer Fire Department on Chester Street. This is a free event, open to all ages with door prizes and plenty of food.
FEBRUARY 6
BEEKEEPERS MEETING — The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 6, beginning at 7 p.m. That’ll take place at the Prince Edward County Extension Office, located at 100 Dominion Drive near Lowe’s. The topic will be winter feeding of honeybees. Anyone who has bees or is interested in bees is welcome. BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM — The Shiloh Baptist Missionary Ministry is sponsoring a Black History Program on Saturday, Feb. 10, beginning at 2 p.m. A special guest will be joining as part of the program. A “Soulfood” dinner will be served afterwards. The church is located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM — The Central High Museum of Charlotte Court House will present their annual Black History program on Saturday, Feb. 24. That will begin at 1 p.m. at the Bluestone Harmony building in Keysville, located at 635 Bluestone Road. The theme of the program will be “A Struggle: Holding on to Freedom”. There will be a skit and the Confident Women’s Ministry will also perform, along with several special musical performances. Dinner will be served afterwards.

CAR CLUB MEETS — The Heart of Virginia Classic Auto Club meets the second Monday each month at Merk’s Place in Farmville. Eat in at 6 p.m., meeting at 7 p.m. Cruise ins are held on the third Saturday from April through October in the parking lot by Tractor Supply in Farmville. 5 p.m. till dusk. Any car owner is welcome to join the club or bring their car to the cruise ins.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390- 7012 to take part.
ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.
SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome.
AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.
