Two Keysville men are in jail today, after being linked to a methamphetamine operation. Things started on Thursday, April 18, as deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop near Keysville. 

What deputies found in the vehicle were multiple ounces of methamphetamine and an estimated $3,000 in cash. As a result of the traffic stop, deputies then got a search warrant for the home of the vehicle’s driver, 64-year-old Joseph Daniel Greenlaw. Sheriff’s Office officials, with help from the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force, went to Greenlaw’s home and executed the search warrant, finding additional ounces of methamphetamine and 63-year-old Neil Owen Armstrong, who was linked to the meth operation and arrested as well. 

Both Greenlaw and Armstrong are currently being held at the Charlotte County Jail, facing charges of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I/II Controlled Substances. 

Charlotte County Sheriff Randy Grissom thanked members of the Task Force, including the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Virginia State Police Division III Bureau of Criminal Investigation for their help in the case.
Grissom also asked anyone with information about this case or other suspected drug activity in Charlotte County to call the sheriff’s office at 434-542-5141.
