JUNE 12

MUSEUM TOURS – The Central High Museum will be open for tours from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12. The museum is located at 401 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House.

JUNE 17-21

REVIVAL – Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 1303 Mt. Zion Road in Red House, will hold its annual revival services from Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21. Prayer service starts at 7 p.m. with worship beginning at 7:30 p.m. The guest pastor for the week will be Pastor Ike Monroe of the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Gretna.

JUNE 19

JUNE 22

LIBRARY BOOKSALE – The Friends of the Charlotte County Library will hold their annual booksale on Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. That’ll take place at the Charlotte Court House branch, located at 112- 116 LeGrande Avenue. There will be books on hand for all ages.

JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION – The Central High Museum in Charlotte Court House will celebrate Juneteenth on Saturday, June 22, beginning at 11 a.m. The guest preacher will be Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney, pastor of the St. Andrews and Aspen Hill Baptist churches. The New Bethel Community Male Chorus will provide the music, along with several soloists. There will be food, crafts, jewelry and different vendors at the museum all day.

COMMUNITY DINNER – Staunton River Baptist Church, located at 2400 Ridgeway Road in Brookneal, will hold a community dinner on Saturday, June 22, beginning at 4 p.m. There will be hot dogs, cold drinks and residents are invited to come out and meet their neighbors. Attendees are asked to bring one canned food item for the Charlotte County Food Bank.

JUNE 23

MISSIONARY PROGRAM – St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch will present a missionary program on Sunday, June 23 during the 11 a.m. service. Rev. Sandra Jones, associate pastor of First Baptist Church in Victoria, will be the guest preacher.

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

WEEKLY WORSHIP — Tabernacle Baptist Church will hold Sunday School every Sunday at 10 a.m. except 5th Sundays. Services start at 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Sunday of the month.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY WORSHIP — A worship service with Confident Women Ministry is held every Sunday at 3 p.m. online via conference call. Services are led by Rev. Loretta Bailey and anyone is invited to call 1-657-390-7012 to take part.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch holds worship services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month Masks are required. The Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH — Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 125 Shiloh Church Road in Drakes Branch holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham Jr. is the pastor. All are welcome.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 5104 Double Bridges Road in Meherrin. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Joe Reid at (808)-927-8910.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen holds worship services at 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. the first, second, third and fourth Sundays. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church holds services at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Sundays at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON CHURCH — Hebron Church located at 111 Hebron Church Road in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. There will be no Sunday school.
