Central Middle FFA went to state convention

CMS National Chapter Area and State Winner - The CMS FFA
Chapter was named the Top Middle School Chapter in the
Southeast Area.
2024 CMS Senior Agronomy Team - Bradley Moorefield, Brayson Duncan, Colton McCall and
Hannah Bennett. The team placed fifth overall with Bradley placing ninth and Hannah placing
seventh overall individually.
2024 CMS Plant Science Team - Kylie Nuckols, Kaylyn Nuckols, Emma Hayes and Sophie Lyle.
The team placed ninth overall in the state.
2024 CMS Small Animal Care Team - Auden Robinson, Grace Perkins, Aubrey Goodman and Kyra
Capers. The team placed ninth overall in the state. Auden also placed ninth overall individually.
2024 CMS Quiz Bowl Team - Logan Brinkley, Landon Brinkley, Wesley Lipscomb and Jacob
Hamilton. The team placed third overall in the state.
2024 CMS Agriculture Mechanics Team - Tanner Kean, Landon Parker, Wyatt Adams and Nathan
St. John. The team placed fourth overall with Wyatt placing sixth individually in the state
2024 CMS Junior Agronomy Team - Ryleigh Metts, Bailey Walker, Matthew Davis and Suraiya
Simmons. The team was the state winning team. Matthew placed fourth, Suraiya placed third,
Ryleigh placed second and Bailey placed first overall individually.
Central Middle School’s (CMS) Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter made their way to Blacksburg at the end of June, taking part in the 98th Virginia State FFA Convention. A total of 25 members from the school’s chapter took part in the event, completing several career development and leadership development events.
The chapter also had several teams place in the Top 10 in the state for their respective competitions. They include:
